Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 on the 25th of November, 1968) is a Canadian actor and a singer from Canada. She is best known for her roles on the American television show Law & Order, on where she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons as well as Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She was also in films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The latter was also directed and written by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and an executive in marketing and sales. His job involved a lot of travel, which led to many changes for the entire family. Maxine, Maxine's mother passed away in 1982. Her daughter was left under the care of Eleanor her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. Her younger brother is Jacqueline Hennessy the identical twin who is a journalist in a magazine and TV host in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian roots on her father's side as well as predominantly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was where she graduated. She used to busk in the subway system of Toronto. Her sister and she made their acting debut as twin callgirls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the part, claimed she was selected to play Dana Scully in The X-Files. She played the character for three seasons and then was fired in the year 1996.
