Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture and the surrounding geography. While growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the catalyst for her passion for restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY.
